Australia Calling

Mr & Mrs bikesandbuildings are off to a land down under for XMas / New Year! Should be a nice break from the grind stone! [Image pilfered from some generic site]

SIR Peak TT

A great turn out for yesterday's annual SIR Peak TT. I was a minute off my personal best, but still pretty happy with 3rd place. Which earned me (and everyone else except the winner) a free coffee. Good times, if a little chilly! http://app.strava.com/rides/2732692

SIR jingoistic TTT

Kit as bad as this can only mean one thing- the SIR jingoistic Team Time Trial! Our British Lions suffered from the re-scheduling of this one with many of our original team not available, so we didn't roar quite as loud as we'd have liked. And certainly not as loud as the Tonks express from '09...

Mega Tall 2020

Look at all this 'Mega Tall' junk we (humanity) are building in the next decade. Petronas Towers won't even feature in the top 20 by 2020 according to this article.

Hard Core

Thanks to Hillary for sending through this photo from yesterday's ride. Hard to the core, Mark & I really know how to drink tea like the rock and roll mountain bikers we are.

Shenzhen Clubhoose

Interesting to see Richard Meier working in Shenzhen, with a club house due to open shortly. Judging by the render, what I'm most looking forward to seeing (if I'm allowed in) is how the glazed balustrade appears to be supported by thin air. Nice! Image pilfered from:

Ma On Shan Massif

There are times when not having a bike can take you to some nice places also. This is yesterday's Maclehose stage 4 re-visit. Mrs bikesandbuildings was less enthusiastic after 5hrs, but this photo marked a high point, in more way than one. Can the weather stay like this all year round please?
